The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access status sassa SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support position made for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
